The Department of Philosophy will host its end-of-the-year event, where we will gather to recognize excellent work in students and participate in philosophical conversations. All are welcome.

To begin, we will induct new members to Phi Sigma Tau (the International Philosophy Honors Society), award prizes for best PHL 110 and best general PHL essay, award the Pamela E. Johnson Prize in Ethics, and finally, award the Markert Medal for most outstanding graduating senior.

Afterward, we will have a talk by our very own Professor Michael Kagan, Ph.D., which will be entitled “Learning Philosophy in Challenging Times,” followed by snacks and general discussion.
