Technology Support on the Heights
Tech makes the world – and the Heights – go round. And we’re here to keep it running. We support the campus technology needs of students, faculty and staff. We’re also the go-tos for the administrative systems of the college, instructional computing, campus residential network, technology user support, plus hardware and software.
We pride ourselves on supporting the infrastructure and applications – the operation and mission – of the College.
Things to Know
Information Technology (IT) maintains the campus technology needs of Le Moyne students by supporting our computing systems, residential network, and our users.
Students looking to purchase a new computer should get the one they are most comfortable with. Le Moyne supports both Macintosh and Windows devices. Most academic programs do not have a requirement for a specific platform. However, please note that Chromebooks do NOT meet our online exam software’s system requirements so they are not recommended.

If you have a computer, you must have up-to-date anti-virus software. At a minimum, the use of the built-in MacOS or Windows Defender antivirus is required. There is also free anti-virus software available.

Students’ tuition covers a printing allotment per semester. You will be able to use printers across campus to print either locally or from your personal computer. For this reason, we do not recommend bringing your own printer to campus. If you do bring a printer to Le Moyne, it must be wired to your computer with the wireless function disabled.

Students can bring TVs, smart devices, consoles, and more to campus. Devices can be connected using ethernet or our wireless Dolphin-IOT network, if compatible. Spectrum CableU, available in the residence hall common areas, provides live TV and on-demand shows and movie access across 80+ channels.
